Amarcort Film Festival is the only festival in the world dedicated to Federico Fellini, held in Rimini, his beautiful hometown.

Born from the idea of a group of people united by the same passion for cinema and short films, is promoted by SMArt Academy and SMArt Lab is organized in collaboration with the Municipality of Rimini and Cineteca of Rimini.

Amarcort Film Festival is the competition of short films from Rimini, which since 2008 has been increasingly successful with the public and important numbers as far as the works received are concerned, with short films of great quality, also with actors known to the general public, from all over the world. part of the world; This aspect confirms the vitality and the cultural depth of a film genre considered unjustly less.

During the first years of the event, a important support has been given by the Foundation Fellini, who appreciated and sponsored the initiative. Participation of the Foundation at the Festival has made it possible to award the special mentions to the finalist works; mention that until 2014 was assigned personally by Francesca Fellini, nephew of the director.
